Unfortunately, Arizona law does not require parents to pay for or support their children in attending college. It is very unlikely that a Judge could order the child�s college expenses paid. Sometimes a divorce decree includes a provision requiring a parent to pay for college expenses, but absent something in writing saying the father would pay for college, there would be no way to be successful with such a law suit. Read through the entire divorce decree, child support and custody orders. As a caution, the child could be ordered to pay the father�s expenses and attorney fees for bringing a �frivolous� law suit.
