Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
ADHD Meds
Hello, I had a question regarding my son who is now six. At the age of two, both me and his pediatrician noticed that speech was delayed and also that he seemed lost in his own little world. I also noticed that our son had no regard for dangerprompted from the pediatrician I took our son to the childrens hospital to be evaluated. The doctors found that our son had apraxia, global delays and he might have ADHD, but he was still too young to diagnose. Well, through the course of four years our son has seen a developmentalist and psychiatrist, who both say that our son has ADHD and could benefit from meds. Our son has been beat up, punched at schoolteased for the way he talks and he cant pay attention in classhe is suffering. My ex wont agree to meds and has called all the Drs quacks. My ex says if our son cant hold still, then hell make him and that every kid gets beat up and teased. I have four Drs that say our son needs help, but dad say no way, theres nothing wrong. Ive always had to go over my exs head to help our son, I always have to make appointments when I have him, or dad wont take him. What do I do? Our decree says that we have to go to mediation, but that takes forever

Re: ADHD Meds
You could at least START mediation and then, shortly afterward, start a Petition, under the theory that time is of the essence and that success through mediation seems unlikely.
I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.
Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
