Adoption by boyfriend

My daughter is 11 yrs old and my boyfriend, who she

knows as her father have been together since she was

6 mnths old. Her bio father has no contact (prison)

neither physical or financial. Can my boyfriend

adopt her even though we are not married and must we

get the bio fathers permission?

You do need to obtain the permission of the bio father in order to have your daughter adopted. Once you have obtained his permission, and you and your boyfriend have married, then adoption proceeding can be initiated.
