Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Adoption by a step parent who is an English national

My husband is an English natioanl and wishes to adopt my son. There is no father on his birth certificate. Is this possible in Arizona, and how do we go about doing it if it is?

If your son is now a resident of the state of Arizona, and has been for a sufficient period of time, you can pursue adoption in Arizona. The process basically requires a "termination" of the unnamed Father's rights, and then a Petition to Adopt.

I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Audrey to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
