Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

when two adults have a child and are not married how would they go about custody for the child they will have 2 separate residences and one is unsafe and not a healthy invironment for the child. what can be done to get sole custody on this child,as the mother is a threat not only to her former mate but her child as well

A petition for paternity, custody, parenting time and child support must be filed. The court can then determine what is in the best interest of the child.
