Re: an age at when a child can choose which parent
There is not an age at which a child can choose; however, the child's wishes is one of many factors that the court can consider. The standard is the "best interests of the child," and most children can't distinguish between what they way vs. what is in their best interests. Older children's wishes tend to carry greater weight than younger children's wishes.
I hope this information is useful.
