annulment how does this effect me financially and property wise

DIVORCE: all property and debt accumulated during marriage is DIVIDED, regardless of which party paid for it or incurred it.
ANNULMENT: There is no marriage, so any property or debt accumulated must be divided under contract theories or joint tenancy theories. Thus, in general, any property you purchase without her help stays yours, and vice-versa; also, any debts you incur stay yours, and vice-versa.
DIVORCE: either party can make a claim for spousal maintenance (alimony)
ANNULMENT: no claim can be made for maintenance.
