Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Does Arizona recognize a divorce that took place in a foreign country. ie married in Hawaii divorced in Japan. Was a resident at the time for places married and divorced.

Sure, I don't see why not. However, you may want to domesticate the order by filing a certified copy with the superior (county) court where you live, especially if you think there may be some enforcement or modification issues. Yes, so long as Japan had proper jurisdiction over the parties when issuing the divorce decree, then such can be enforced and modified in Arizona (again, so long as Arizona also has jurisdiction over the parties).
