Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Assurance of compliance with out of state custody order

My ex has custody of our son and lives in Arizona. We have a custody order from the state of Ca where I reside. My son flies back and forth for visitation. My ex and I share the cost by alternating ticket purchases monthly. He frequently has altered the schedule or denied my visitation altogether by not sending him out. I am financially unable to fly to and stay in AZ for weekend, don't currently own a car, and am unlicensed anyway. My question is, how can I enforce/have enforced our custody order without physically going to Arizona, when he violates it?

Set up a hearing in Ca, in the court that provided the original order and ask the judge to deal with him. Force him or a rep to appear in Ca. 800-685-6950

You have a custody order but your husband has custody...do you mean that the ORDER granting custody to your husband was issued in California?

If so then you may file for a contempt hearing in the California Court. However, you husband may move to change venue to AZ as that state should have jurisdiction if it is the resident state of the child. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
