Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
I was awarded attorney's fees in my decree. The judge at the time said that the enforcement of attorney's fees was the same in AZ as child support or spousal maint. Her attorney is saying that collection of those fees is a civil matter. Who is correct?

Those are kind of 2 separate topics. If you have a JUDGMENT, I can "collect" through wage garnishment or bank account garnishment. That is "civil" in nature. However, if the Judge gave a specific timetable for payment, then you could also enforce through contempt proceedings with your judge, just like support.
If the other side is employed, a wage garnishment is easy to do.
