Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I was awarded my divorce by default. In the parenting plan, we are week on week off and my daughter is attending a school in my district. Since the finalization, my ex has not taken her to school, stating he has transportation problems. He has refused options that I have given him, even having my daughter stay with me during the week so she can go to school. I have filed for an order to enforce, but my hearing is not scheduled until October...I cannot wait that long and have my daughter miss school. I have called the local authorities and they have only made reports but say they are unable to do anything because its a civil matter. What other recourses do I have?

You could and should file an EMERGENCY PETITION to Modify/Enforce. In my experience, our Judges take educational issues very seriously.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for an emergency Petition. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
