Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
I just had a baby who was taken into state custody because her mother is not capable of caring for her, temporary guardianship was granted to her maternal grandmother. However child services never spoke to me. I was there during labor but missed the birth and was not informed of when the birth certificate application was being signed. My daughter is only 2days old and I need to know the speediest way to obtain custody. Also is this the mothers doing? Or could it be the hospitals fault?

Please come in soon. We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for intervening in the guardianship matter. Per Arizona law, the Court should have you at the front of the line for custody. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.
You should also know, however, that as the parent, you may also be entitled to a Court Appointed Attorney.
