Re: Bastard adoption
Arizona is a no fault divorce state, so neither party has to show any type of bad behavior by the other spouse in order to get a divorce. If you want to divorce your husband, you can start the process any time. You can hire an attorney or take action on your own in court. You could check with Legal Aid to see if you qualify to attend one of their free clinics where they assist you in filing out the paperwork and taking the case to court on your own. To find your local Legal Aid Office check the phone book or azlawhelp.org. Forms and instructions to obtain a divorce on your own can be found at http://supreme.state.az.us/selfserv/.
You didnt ask a specific question, but from the facts you provided, you would not have any standing to ask for a paternity test of the child. Even in a divorce action, the fact that your husband was unfaithful or even fathered a child out-of-wedlock, has very little to do with getting divorced. If the facts you provided are all there is to the story, the Divorce Court Judge isnt going to do anything about it. From the tone of your question, it doesnt sound like you are very happy with this situation. If your concerns cant be addressed by the Legal System, maybe you should seek personal counseling through your work insurance, your church, or a local counselor. GOOD LUCK
