Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I have a boyfriend that is addicted to meth. I had to kick him out of my parents home because of this. He left in my vehicle it is under my mom's name the registration expired in Sep. and has been driving it like that he's in the streets stays at so called friends houses really I don't know but he recently was in trouble for the first time and received 2 years of probation and since I kicked him out he lost his job and has not made a payment since August. He was to report to his p.o.every month and have no idea if he has. We have 3 children together and don't want to report the car stolen or report to his p.o. that he is no longer working, living here, pretty much tell on him and she has no idea about his drug addiction either. If he was to get pulled over can we collect the car and avoid it being towed? We have the title for it. I want him to get help I'm assuming he's going to be arrested sooner or later. He has not helped me with the children for a very long time and I am currently unemployed because I just had a baby in May but are searching. Before he left he applied for unemployment and recently has been approved the card has been mailed to my address and are unsure if I can use that money when it does Can I get in trouble if I use that money? I know he found out of his approval and will take the card and leave me stranded like he has. I know I can apply for child support. Someone please give some advice I've spent 14 years with this person and it's a shame that this drug has consumed him like this but I can't help a person who does not want to be helped and I don't want to cause any problems to me or my family if I report him due to his friends they will come after me and my family if they find out that I did something to get him in trouble. Thank you!

Well, we can only help through the filing of a Complaint in Paternity which will address custody and support issues. We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.

We have three attorneys. We charge from $220 per hour to $250 per hour. Our retainers can run as low as $500 for demand letters/phone calls, $1200 plus costs for uncontested matters, or from $2,000 to $4,000 for most contested matters. We can also structure assistance to help you represent yourself if your prefer, whether by the project or by the hour.

Please remember that a retainer is just a prepayment of time, and is not an estimate as to the total costs of the matter. If I finish within the retainer, then I refund any unearned amounts.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
