Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

My boyfriend has 2 children with his ex wife. He pays child support for both children. The first child he pays for is his son, who lives with him, and who has lived with him for over 6 years, and who is 23 years old. The second is his daughter who lived with the mom more than half the time, in the past 10 years.. But who now has lived with him the past 7 or so months. She is 17. Is there a way to get the ex wife to.pay back any of the money since the son has not lived with her and since he is 23 years old now?

Child support cannot be modified retroactively, unless the mother/ex-wife would agree to that. It can only be modified going forward. Based on the information provided, it sounds as if he needs to file a Petition to Modify Child Support ASAP.

Our law firm can assist him in doing so and typically requires $3,000 up front to being working on that type of case. If that is feasible for your boyfriend, please have him contact my Client Coordinator, Jessica Worley at 602-548-4600 to discuss the details of his case.
