Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Name change of minor

I would like to change the last name of my daughters to my last name. Their father sees them about 7 days of the year and lives in Wisconsin. I know he will fight it, but as they get older it gets harder to have different last names. Will this be extremely difficult to accomplish? Would it be easier to hyphenate their last name?

Re: Name change of minor

You can seek a modification even over Dad's objection. You simply have to convince the Court that such is in the children's best interests.

We can absolutely help.

I can explain the issues and procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
