You need to file a Petition to Modify, stating all the reasons that such a change is in the children's best interests. You may need to initiate mediation first.
We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for modification.
One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.
Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.

We would need to discuss the specifics regarding the changes you'd like to make, and can do so in a free consultation in person or by phone.
With the recent changes in the statutes, we should discuss your best course of action regarding how to change your current order. Many judges are starting from a point of equal time and joint decision making.
Let me know if you'd like go discuss further. A petition to modify will likely be required.

I am assuming you are wanting to change the primary physical custody of your children from the other parent to yourself. If that is the case, you would best be served to hire an attorney who has considerable experience in the area of child custody and can help you put your best foot forward in a bid to modify custody. We offer a variety of options from hourly to flat-fee and from full-scope representation to limited-scope, depending on your needs and budget. If you have to go it alone, we can support you behind the scenes as well with filing a petition to modify child custody. Regardless, best of luck to you!
