Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
child custody
if a judge ruled in favor of the mother for custody of her five year old son and we know she is negligent and has lied to the court, what recourse to we as his grandparents have? The judge did not want to hear much of what we said and gave the mother total custody. Our attorney told us that the judge does not and never has ruled in favor of people of diverse backgrounds and thinks the judges ruling was racially prejudice. However our attorney does not wish to go further with us to appeal because he has to work with this judge on other cases and long into the future and suggests we find another attorney. Can you advise?

Re: child custody
I would advise obtaining another attorney to assist you. If a racial bias can be proven, that would add a lot of strength to your case. Even the perjury (lying to the court) would be enough to get modifications if you can prove the falsities.
