Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
child custody & responses
My divorce has been on going for 13 mon. I have never received a response although my wife filed one a year ago. What is the time limit for me to receive my copy. Niether party has an attorney. Also I am prim. cust. parent she lives with friends and allows our 14 yr. old daughter to hang out at all hours with a convicted drug offender and the mother wants primary custody back. Is this possible?

You, of course, should have received your copy of her response immediately. However, it was HER obligation to mail it to you. So, if she didn't, you're not going to see it unless you go look at it yourself.
Once a response is filed, whenever one of you are proceeding without an attorney, the Court will schedule a "DCM" conference. Has that been scheduled? If not, something was missed by either you, her or the Court.
If you call me, I can help you figure out where you are and what needs to happen to get your case finished. I can explain the issues and procedures better by phone or in person. There is too much to cover via e'mail (and I am not the greatest typist). We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.
Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Cathy to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
