Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

child support calculations

I recently received a ruling based on a modification of child support. My youngest child requires special day care in order to minimize her exposure sick children. This was determined by testimony from her pediatrician. In recalculating the child support, the entire amount of day care was added to me. Isn't it supposed to be added to the formula and divided as a percentage?

Re: child support calculations

Daycare, under our guidelines, is added into the total child support obligation, which is then shared proportionally by the parties. I do not believe that the Court has the discretion to make you solely responsible.

You must act quickly to have this error corrected. I can explain the procedures to do so better by phone or in person. There is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Cathy to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
