Child Support

What does child support cover? When you pay money to the custodial parent what is that money supposed to go towards?

Re: Child Support

The money is supposed to cover your portion of providing for the child. They should not be asking for additional money for clothes, extracurricular activities or other non-necessities. You are likely to be also ordered to pay a portion of uncovered medical and other similar expenses, though.
