Child support

My divorce was finalized in Arizona. I have sole custody of my son and we live in CA. On 2 separate times, 4 mos in 2004 & 6 mos this year, my son lived with his dad. I kept the child support per verbal agreement with Dad. He is now threatening to take me to court for the support I kept. Does he have a case?
