Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Child Support for Child - Not mine biologically

Hi,

It seems I am paying CS for a girl that is not mine. She has two half brothers that are mine.

I still want to be a part of her life. She thinks of me as her Dad and I'm very cool with that. Can I get the CS obligation dropped and still maintain visitation? It would crush her brothers to know these circumstances and be pretty crappy for her too. (What kid wants to know their Mom got knocked up by her boyfriend while she was still married and living with their Dad?) The kids are all under nine.

Thanks

Otis

Re: Child Support for Child - Not mine biologically

You may have the right to "undo" the child support obligation, depending upon all facts and circumstances. I would need to know a lot more.

We can absolutely help. I would emphasize that TIME IF OF THE ESSENCE. You can affect your rights if you delay.

I can explain the issues and procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
