Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Child Support
I don't have a child support order but I'm paying money every month, is this a smart thing to do? I am going to file for custody should I stop paying her?

Re: Child Support
It is smart so long as you are not overpaying AND you can prove every payment made. You also should be careful about not underpaying significantly. Whether or not you should stop paying while you pursue custody depends upon how much the child is with you versus with mom.
We can absolutely help you through these issues.

Re: Child Support
Don't stop paying support, but do send it in a form that is traceable, like a check and note child support. Otherwise, it could be claimed as a gift.
