Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Child Support past age 18
My daughter will not graduate from High School until she is almost 20 yrs old. Is it possible to get an extension on child support to cover the months from 18 yrs of age until she graduates High School?

Re: Child Support past age 18
Under our law, support continues until the child is 18, OR graduates, whichever is later, but DOES NOT continue past the age of 19, even if the child remains in high school. Thus, your support should continue until she is 19.
If both parents AGREE (in an appropriate document) that support should continue even until graduation, that agreement can be enforced by the Court.
Otherwise, the only way I am aware of to have support continue past 19 is if the child has "special needs".
Please call me if you wish to discuss this further.
