Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Court Response
I was served with papers to appear in court for back child support. I called the judges chambers and they told me to submit a letter to the judge and to my ex's attorney. I am not for sure what all I need to say and address in the letter. Are you able to help me with this?
Thank you for your time

Re: Court Response
I'm uncertain as to what kind of help you are seeking. As this is in the state of Arizona, you may wish to consult with an attorney there who is familar Arizona law and proceedure on the subject.
Re: Court Response
It is impossible to tell you what to address without knowing about the documents already filed/served. Generally, you would be responding to the other party/attorney either admitting or denying the arrears, and asking the court for permission to appear by telephone since you are out of state.
It would probably be a good idea to consult with an attorney in Arizona for more details and to determine if you should seek representation.
Please contact my office if you would like to discuss this matter further. I can be reached at [email protected] or (480) 792-9770.

Re: Court Response
I am not sure that you need to submit anything in response, but can of course help you as to whatever needs to be done. Our firm limits our practice to the area of family law, including child support issues, so we will be well able to assist.
Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Cathy to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
