Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I've had custody of my grandson since Sept 2012, prior to that my grandson has lived with me most of his young life since he was born (11-2011). I'm the paternal grandmother, neither parent has comply with court orders to be reunited with their child. The court has recently placed a removal of my grandson's half siblings from his biological mother, due to the new circumstances the maternal grandmother filed a request to get all 3 kids that includes my grandson. My grandson is 17 months old, his maternal grandmother has only seen him twice since he was born. My question is who can I fight this? Cps is considering placing all 3 kids with maternal grandmother just to keep all kids together. I have letters from daycare and neighbors stating he has been with me most of his life. Please guide me how to fight this issue.

It would appear that if CPS is involved, you would need a Petition to Intervene in the juvenile court matter, and then your goal would be to convince that Judge that the child is better off with you, despite being separated from his half-siblings.

If this child is not yet in CPS' sights, then you could file for "Custody by a Non-Parent" in the Family Court.

Please come in soon. We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.
