Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Custody

My husband and I separated a year ago due to him cheating on me with another woman.Since then we have an arrangement that we each keep our daughter every other night and weekend.A week ago I served him with sole cussody and child support papers.Since then he has started picking my daughter from school before me and not allowing me to see her or talk to her.I was finally able to get her this week and placed a restraining order on him.Since he can't come within certain feet of me and I have my daughter he cant get her.I switched her school and registered her on my own so the school cannot release her to anyone else.I did all this in fear that he would leave the state with my daughter and I do have strong reasons to believe so.In addition, the every other night was taking its toll on my 2 yr old.Plus, I know she is not comfortable with him having another woman in his house. He is now saying he will fight for sole custody. I realize that the court will act in the best interest of the child, but what does this essentially mean?Do I have a good chance of gaining sole custody as I am her sole provider and always have been since time of birth?

Re: Custody

As long as the father of the child is a good parent, It may be hard for you to get sole custody. There are many factors with I do not know but generally speaking if both parents are good parents it will be hard for one to get sole cust. Good Luck
