Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

We want to know how to get custody

Recently my fiance was denied all access to his son who is 12 (they have been close since the child was born). Him and the childs mother were never married, but at the birth both parents signed the birth-ceritficate(He was born in California). The matters of custody or support has never been brought to court. The mother and child live in Kingman Arizona and we live in South Florida. My fiance and I would desperatly like to know our rights and if we have a chance for custody even if part time. Full time custody is what we want. Do we have a chance for either? Also does my fiance have legal parental rights.

Sincerly,

T.R.

Re: We want to know how to get custody

As long as the father of child is a good parent you have a good chance of getting at least joint custody, but your living out of state may make it difficult to set up visits with the child....Good Luck
