Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
DCSE still collecting payment when balace is zero
My wife and I had recieved AFDC assistance back in 95, repayment of such monnies was repaid in 3/02. Recieved satisfaction of judgement form, took that form into the Glendale office to sign and notorize thus closing our case.
At that time I had inquired to the fact that our original case had been handled at a different DCSE office and asked if we needed to go to that office to take care of paperwork, we were assure that not only was there no need for us to go to the other location, and that our case would be closed, unemployment garnishments would be stopped, and the amount of overpayment refunded to us. Follwed up when DCSE 1month later to find nothing had been done, case needed to be forwarded to other location and had not been done. We filed another satisfaction of judgement with right office 30 days ago nothing has changed, garnishments are still being taken and we cant get our case worker to see/talk to us. Can you help?

Re: DCSE still collecting payment when balace is zero
I absolutely can help. You must file a Motion to have the Wage Garnishment quashed. You can also ask that any overpayments the children's Mother has received be returned to you.
I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. There is too much to cover via e'mail (and I am not the greatest typist). We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.
Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Cathy to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
