Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I decided to go through with my divorce without a lawyer, as we have no community property, kids, or accounts. I told my ex-wife that i would help her with spousal maintenance and insurance. If I told her and it has not been finalized can I take it back? Can I decide I do not want to anymore if not granted by a judge?

(Take into consideration that income is steady, but with an additional payment to her or 2, will cause an issue)

YOU NEED OT CONSULT WITH AN ATTORNEY RIGHT AWAY. If you have not filed a RESPONSE, and she DID include a spousal maintenance request in her Petition, YOU NEED TO FILE A RESPONSE ASAP.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for avoiding spousal maintenance. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
