How to determine teenage daughters best interest
My ex and I share joint legal custody of our almost sixteen year old daughter, and a parenting plan (from 15 months ago)that specifies she spend 3 days a week at his home. Due to the difficulty they have communicating, she is refusing to go at this time. They will start counseling soon to work on communication. However, if this does not resolve, what steps do I need to take to include her needs and preferences in the parenting plan?
In the meantime, can he physically force her to go?

If the parenting plan is not being followed and is no longer working, you might need to file a motion with the court to modify that order. However, you must look to the original order first to determine if mediation is necessary. Good Luck. AND no, he should not get physical with her.
