Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
Can you disown an adult son? He is trying to sue me for money?

Sorry, but that is outside of my field. I think you may be asking an "Estate Planning" question, and should refer your question to that field.

Although, I primarily practice family law, I do believe you should consider having a will, detailing exactly who receives what. If you do not provide for those details, your estate goes into probate and is subject to distribution to your heirs. I would specifically detail that you have intentionally left him out, or leave him a very smll sum so it is apparent he was not unintentionally left out.
There is no such thing as "owning" or "disowning" another human being these days, even a relative. The first two answerers are correct, in that you probably are referring to disinheritance issues. Best of luck!
