Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

divorce decree

went to court last week and represented myself in a divorce/custody case. I went today to sign the decree at my soon to be ex's attorney's office and the paperwork was different than what the judge declared. And I did not sign the paperwork, what do I do next?

Re: divorce decree

It would probably be a good idea for you to speak with an attorney and go over the proposed decree to determine whether the differences had to do with the substantive rulings or whether they may have been "boilerplate" language that doesn't really affect the outcome of the case.

We offer a free initial consultation, so please feel free to contact our office to schedule a time to meet with one of our attorneys to discuss the details of your situation. I'd encourage you to set an appointment as soon as possible. If the other attorney "lodges" the decree without your signature, you only have a limited amount of time to file an objection.
