Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

divorce decree

My wifes father went to his divorce trial with his 17 year old son as a witness . He figured that the judge would understand that his son was neutral and be telling the truth. His attorney told him it was ok to do this. When they went to court the judge told him that they did not talk to minors and to stay out side. His wife brought her sister which uses drugs and lost her own kids to the state. During court his wife lied about a lot of items that were discussed to include personal items that she took when she left. The judge ordered him to give her items back which he does not have or go to jail. Is there any thing that we can do to correct this problem. If possible we would like the judge to hear the truth about what really went on so that he can make a informed judgment. Any help would be thankful.

Re: divorce decree

There are several methods of having a Judge's decisions "reconsidered" or reviewed. Most procedures must be initiated very quickly after a decision is made.

Please contact me directly, and very soon, to discuss whether you might in fact have a basis to overturn the Court's ruling (which, as I am sure you know, is very rare).

/s/ Rich J. Peters, Attorney.
