Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Divorce

My husband recently filed for divorce, I am wondering about the lies he has listed in the property, my mother gave me a vehicle while we were married, my husband is claiming he bought the vehicle before we were married, I can prove otherwise easily. He also said that I stole his truck he had purchased before we were married. I didnt steal it I took it after he took my vehicle, anyway in the divorce papers it lists the truck as his seperate property but it is in my posession, futher on in the divorce papers he listed that we are to keep whatever property we are in posession of at this time. Does that mean I get to keep the truck?

Re: Divorce

Keep in mind that a Petition is not the end of the line...Also, proof is the key. If you can show the truck was purchased during the marriage, the court will presume it belongs to the commuinty. When he talks about "property in your possession," that typically refers to personal property.
