i was legally divorced on june 7 of 2007. my ex was awarded the house. five months later she has made no attempt to refinace the house to get me off the title and mortage. the house is now affecting my credit and putting me in debt to wear i can not get another home and renting is outragiously expensive. my ex can not afford the house on her own she does not work and only recieves social security and had most of her children move in with her to pay the mortage. how can get out of that so i can provide for my new and our children?

Look to the terms of your divorce decree to determine whether you ex is required to refinance within a certain time period. If no time period was agreed upon, you may need to go back to court to request either a refi or that the home be sold for the reason that your credit has been adversely affected.
