Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

divorce

I live in Illinois and my husband lives in Arizona. I received summons for divorce but I don't know how to go about responding to it. I don't work and I have no way of going to Arizona to ensure that we get the divorce. What should I do?

Re: divorce

The answer depends on if you have minor children, is there marital property involved and debts along with issues regarding maintenance for you. I strongly urge that you speak with an attorney in IL to protect your rights.

Re: divorce

Call me to discuss the procedure for a "Response". You must file a response within 30 days of being served with the summons.

I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Audrey to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
