Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Divorce & Mortgage

During divorce, I signed a quit claim deed on the house, but my ex-husband did not refinance the house. He is currently delinquent on the mortgage and it is adversely impacting my credit rating (can't get a car loan). He refuses to refinance and take my name off of the mortgage. What recourse do I have?

Re: Divorce & Mortgage

You could seek an order compelling him to sell, with the appointment of a "Real Estate Commissioner", who can handle the sale by Court order.

We can absolutely help.

I can explain the issues and procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
