Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

domestic violence allegations

I am int the process of appling for custody and have been accused of domestic violence on numerous occasins. I have been arrested more than once for this but have never been convicted of it. There are questions pertaining to domestic violence on the forms that state if domestic violence has ever occured in the relationship. I beleive I should state that it has but I'm not sure how this would affect the outcome of the case, since arizona frowns on domestic violence especially in custody cases (have done some ammount of research). Also will the court look at the fact that all of it has been dismissed?

Re: domestic violence allegations

You should simply answer the question truthfully. But, the definition as to what constitutes domestic violence ought to be reviewed with an attorney. Any allegations can of course be refuted with the reality that there have been no convictions.
