Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
My ex-husband has basically been a "part-time" parent to our 8 year old son. He has re-married and had two other children. He doesn't consecutively make child support payments, goes months at a time without seeing or calling our son, and I am sick of 'hounding' him to morally and financially support our child. He and I have the worst relationship ever so agreement is not an option and I don't even want to bother with mediation. He is self employed and lies about his income (I've been down that 'legal' road once and basically came out with nothing) so I simply want him to sign over all rights to our son to me. So that he has absolutely nothing to do with him, kind of the way he does now. How can this be done? We live in Arizona. Any info is appreciated, thanks. [email protected]

If you have his agreement, we can draft a "Consent to Termination". It is unlikely you could gain such without his agreement.
We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options in this matter.
One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.
Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
