Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Can someone explain a loss by default??

my husband was demanding everything - children/support/assets and basically made me out to be a monster, I got so overwhelmed with everything that I just did not go to court. In layman's terms can you explain what default means? He did not win because that is what he deserved, but rather because I was not there to defend myself? And it could have turned out much differently correct?

Re: Can someone explain a loss by default??

The court will default a non-responding party, which means that what your husband asked for in his petition for dissolution is what the court will grant him, nothing more.
