Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
exwife's marriage new marriage certificate
my fiance is buying a home. he was divorced alittle over 2 yers ago. the divorce decree states that he must pay alimony for 7 years or until she remarries. she remarried 3 weeks afterthe divorce. he never had to pay any alimony. the mortgae company is requiring we obtain proof that she is remarried. we found recorded documents stating his release of their home to her..then her pre-nup, then the disclaimer that she owned the home before she married her new hubby and he makes no claim to her money from the sale ofthe home. it states that he is her husband...but this is not good enough for them. Is it possible to get a copy of their marriage certificate? We don't know where they got married, only that they got married in dec 2000.

Re: exwife's marriage new marriage certificate
You can received a certified copy of their marriage certificate from the clerk of the court in the county they were married at. Maricopa County has a very helpful staff at their facility at 5th Avenue and Jackson. There is a nominal charge for the copy and certification.
