Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

This is concerning family law. I have filed with the courts for paternity and child support as well as with the states Department of Economic Security(DES). The other party was served by myself and DES, should I close out one of the cases?

IF you are still receiving benefits, child support WILL BE HANDLED by the DES case. You have no choice. AND, YOU CANNOT get rid if the paternity/custody/parenting time case, because the DES case CANNOT address those issues. The only issue arises if you are no linger receiving benefits. There can be advantages to keeping DES on board, even if you are no longer receiving benefits.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options in your ongoing matters.
