Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I filed a request to modify medical expenses for my 3 kids on Nov 27th in Maricopa County Superior Court in Az. I was served last night by my X requesting child support that was actually filed on 11-28-07. Mine was filed one day earlier. Can 2 cases go on concurrently or does mine need to be resolved before--name removed--can file another one???? Thanks

You can request that the cases be consolidated, which is better than filing response fees.
