Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

father's rights

my boyfriends ex girlfriend won't let him see his daughter if we date. he never filed for custody or any kind of rights. His daughter is 12. He is afraid to take her to court due to the fact that he never legally paid child support although he did give her money whenever she asked for it. She never asked for any standing agreement either they just have an agreement that she'll give her money whenever she asks.

Re: father's rights

If there has never been a decree entered ordering your boyfriend to pay child support, then the mother would not be entitled to past support. However, if your boyfriend does take her to court, he could be required to pay future support. If mother is trying to keep daughter away from dad, dad should definitely go to court to get his visitation and custody rights established. I charge a $75.00 consultation fee for a 1/2 hour if he is interested in sitting down and discussing his case and options. Feel free to contact me!
