Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I had someone file in small claims against me for child care payment (long story), I only knew because of searching through the courts and their threat. On the public case access az judicial branch website I have kept up on it. She never served me or notified me. She filed in August, they said something miscellanious was entered into the case on 12/01, a motion was filed on 12/16, an order was filed on 12/20 and a CAL: TICKLER will be entered on 01/03/2011, can someone please explain to me what has happened?

It would be easier if I knew the case no and could look myself. BUT, GUESSING: she has 120 days to serve you. She probaby received a notice that the case was going to be dismissed if she did not serve you, and she may have filed a Motion asking for additional time to serve you.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options in defending this child support matter.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
