How do I find out if I am divorced?
I am trying to find out if I am divorced. My ex was suppose to send me papers in 94 and never did. I have heard that he has been married and divorced twice since our last contact. He may of filed for divorce in either Arizona or Calif. and may of filed in a newspaper so his girlfriend would not find out he had been married before. We were married in Yuma AZ. and he may of filed for divorce in phoenix Az. or Tucson Az. or maybe in El Centro Ca. I am considering marraige at this time and dont feel I should have to pay for a divorce if he allready divorced me. Considering the fact that he did marry and divorce the same girl in phoenix, I am sure that he divorced me. I just would like to see it on paper or hear that I am divorced before I remarry.

probably not divorced in CA
You are probably not divorced in CA because you would have had to been served with papers, responded and filed papers of your own and then would have received the judgment directly from the court. An attorney can have a record search done for you to be sure. Don�t know how they do things in AZ
