Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I have a friend who got married and recently found that her husband is actually a female. Is the marriage legal since her partner committed fraud by porporting to be a male and does she need to file for annullment or is the marriage considered null and void?

We cannot provide legal advice to a "friend" of a "friend" who has an issue; however, you can tell your "friend" to call Stephanie Coulter at 602 462 1004 if she would like to make arrangements to talk to an attorney about her situation.

She needs to file for annulment. That process DECLARES by court order that the marriage is null and void. I have handled this exact situation before.

We can certainly help her consider and then pursue her options for annulment.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
