Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Good AM - My ex-daughter in law informed my son that in August she is moving to Colorado and taking their two kids - they have joint custody. Is there a form my sone needs to file in court to stop this and where can he get it? Thank you so much for reading this question. You may e-mail me the answer to [email protected]. Have a good day.

Thank you for your email. Your son needs to file a Petition to Prevent Relocation as soon as possible. There are statutory requirements that must be followed in order for her to attempt to relocate, and in order for him to pursue an objection. The court will set a hearing and determine whether the relocation is in the children's best interests.
